The curved shoulders and flared neck make it really easy to pour without spilling, and the glass feels substantial but not heavy. It looks elegant just sitting on the sideboard with the light catching the mouth-blown details.

The mouth-blown glass has a lovely subtle weight to it, and those tall straight sides make it feel more like a piece I'd leave out on the sideboard than something tucked in a cupboard. The flared neck pours cleanly with no drips down the side, which I didn't expect to care about until I used it.

Filled it with iced water and lemon slices for dinner and the flared neck made pouring so clean, not a single drip on the tablecloth. The curved shoulders give it a nice weight in the hand, heavier than the cheap carafe it replaced.
